  About hypnosis

A hypnotic trance is a natural state for all of us
We all dip in and out of trance several times during the day. It happens approximately every 1 ½ hours. When you daydream, you become lost in thought or just sit still and stare out into space. Perhaps only for a few seconds, but you are in a natural, everyday trance state. You may see internal images, hear sounds, hold an internal dialog or just "exist". This is an important process for all of us. It is a way to "recharge our batteries".
This means that we all have the ability to go into a trance. It is a function of our mind and a hypnotherapist can help you create this natural, resourceful state and use it to create positive changes with the help of hypnotherapy.

The unconscious mind
When you are in a hypnotic trance, you are in better contact with your unconscious mind.
The unconscious mind is our "biological hard drive". This is where we store everything that we learn, all of our abilities, resources, habits and feelings, all of the impressions we have had over the course of our lives.
Our automatic thought and behavioural patterns run like "programmes" in the unconscious mind. The unconscious mind will always try to support you and bring you to an optimal state, but sometimes there can still be some old thought patterns or behavioural patterns, which you find limiting as an adult. One could say that they need an "update". At the time when the thought and behavioural patterns were learned, they had a positive function. Perhaps they helped you to adapt and function better in your family or perhaps you "copied" them from your family.

The most effective method for accessing the unconscious mind is simply hypnosis. Hypnosis can help change old, limiting patterns, while new, supportive, positive convictions and attitudes can be learned. This is how emotional conflicts, blockages and symptoms can be treated and you may feel that the therapy releases many internal resources inside of you and provides you with rewarding, supportive insights. You will rediscover your life energy, inner security and happiness and function in the way, which is most optimal for you.

What is hypnosis?
In a hypnotic trance, your concentration is intensely focused.
It is a state where you are in contact with both your conscious mind as well as your unconscious mind. It means that you are in better contact with your needs, values and inner core when you are in this trance. Therefore, you also have control over the situation, which means that someone cannot be hypnotized against their will and you cannot influence people in a trance to do something that is against their values, ethics or morals.

Hypnosis is a tool
Hypnosis is a tool to bring yourself or other people, if they wish, into a trance state. Hypnosis or the trance in itself does not create change. It is a pleasant state, where you feel relaxed and at ease, but that in itself is not enough to make positive changes.

Serious and thorough training in modification techniques is important for creating positive and proper changes.
I have been trained and certified in both Denmark and England in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Authoritarian Hypnosis (among the newest and most advanced hypnotherapeutic methods from the USA) and Clinical Hypnosis. I am also an NLP Master Practitioner. NLP is an important and necessary tool for a therapist to understand the mind's functions, ask the right questions, help the client to formulate goals and make the change process smooth.
This extensive education means that I can be flexible in order to meet your needs.

Hypnotherapy – hypno-analysis
Hypnotherapy consists of methods for discovering the cause of the problem (finding out where and how the seed was planted) and then neutralizing it and creating a new understanding and finding new resources in the causal event, thereby creating new, supportive attitudes.
This means that in the future you can act and react based on the new understanding and insight, which you achieved during the trance.

Hypnotherapy is often used to release you from limiting emotions, which were learned at some point, e.g. anxiety, anger, loneliness, guilt or shame. A number of people live their lives with inner anger. Anger comes from the feeling of not having been treated justly at some point in time, typically in childhood. For example, a person can be angry at other people or at his or herself. When a limiting emotion is present, smouldering at the unconscious level, it does not take much to trigger it in everyday situations, i.e. you can feel unjustly treated by colleagues, relatives or other people you meet in life. In reality, it is often a case of unconsciously twisting other peoples' words and behaviour or taking things too personally, so that they match your inner feeling of injustice, which you unconsciously need to express. Unconsciously, you may take other peoples' words too personally in order to allow yourself to become angry because there is a need to relieve your feelings.
Anger is a very strong form of energy and by clearing it out during therapy and releasing your feelings and forgiving people from the past who you feel, consciously or unconsciously, have treated you unjustly, you will achieve a large excess of positive energy.
Regardless whether you have misunderstood the situation, whether it occurred in childhood or if something unjust actually did occur, it is not about using our life and energy to blame other people. Nothing good comes of that kind of thinking, which only limits us in the long run. It is about the feeling we create in ourselves, which actually limits us in reality.
By cleaning out the limiting feelings by using hypnotherapy, you can experience a strong feeling of release from old, negative feelings, thoughts and behavioural patterns and in this way, you can experience life, yourself and others with greater spaciousness and use your energy on constructive and satisfying things.

Hypnotherapy can be used to limit countless problems and symptoms, as long as you yourself want to create a positive change and can imagine that it is possible to function without the problem.
